How About This For An HAW Cartoon?

Or are we unwilling to criticize the new president?

Love it.

I like it, too. It implies a very pacifist position which I personally might not support (depending on what exactly it means to the viewer) but it is a strong, effective provocation that would serve the purpose of making people think about the problematic distinction between the "good war" in Afghanistan and our obscenely overblown military establishment on the one hand and the "bad war" in Iraq on the other.

Actually, I am not a pacifist. I would prefer the word "Imperialism" under Obama's face but thought that would be a tougher sell.

While I'd rather it said, "Capital," ("Imperialism" would do)it does get to the point far better than the cartoon now posted on the main page. The HAW steering committee encompasses a fairly wide range of views under the rubric of "against the war." The affiliation with UFPJ, which I see as little more than a funnel for the Democratic Party, remains a problem.
