Wayne State University

At Wayne State University our faculty Committee for Peace and Justice in the Middle East recently sponsored on March 26 a "Day of Reflection" (actually from 11am to 5 pm) on the war on Iraq. This included a reading by theatre department grad students of Tony Kushner's drama (recently excerpted in The Nation), panel discussions on the international and domestic consequences of the war, musical interludes, poetry readings, readings of international voices, and audience feedback sessions.

There is another teach-in coming up this Saturday on April 12 co-sponsored by the local anti-war groups at University of Detroit/Mercy. Information on this teach-in may be seen at www.mecawi.org.
